Honey Glazed Halloumi
Salty, squeaky halloumi and floral honey are a match made in heaven. This Honey Glazed Halloumi takes ten minutes and works equally well as a starter, a salad topper or the star of a mezze spread.
Ingredients
- 225g block of halloumi
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Honey One Wildflower / Original Honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- A pinch of chilli flakes
- Lemon wedges, to serve
Method
- Slice the halloumi into 1cm thick slices and pat dry with kitchen paper.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat.
- Fry the halloumi for 2–3 minutes on each side, until deeply golden and crisp at the edges.
- Meanwhile, warm the honey and lemon juice together in a small pan or the microwave until loose.
- Transfer the halloumi to a warm plate, drizzle over the honey and scatter with chilli flakes.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over.
