Cacao Honey Brownies
Deeply chocolatey, properly fudgy and finished with a drizzle of Honey One Cacao Honey, these brownies are for serious chocolate lovers. The cacao honey adds an extra layer of richness you won't get from sugar alone.
Ingredients
- 185g unsalted butter
- 185g dark chocolate (70%), chopped
- 3 medium eggs
- 200g light brown soft sugar
- 85g plain flour
- 40g cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp Honey One Cacao Honey, plus extra to drizzle
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Flaky sea salt, to finish
Method
- Heat the oven to 170°C fan / 190°C conventional. Grease and line a 20cm square baking tin.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, then leave to cool slightly.
- Whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and slightly thickened, then fold in the chocolate mixture, Cacao Honey and vanilla.
- Sift in the flour and cocoa powder with a pinch of salt and fold gently until just combined.
- Pour into the tin and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the top is set and crackly but the centre still has a slight wobble.
- Cool completely in the tin, then cut into 12 squares. Warm a little Cacao Honey, drizzle over and finish with flaky sea salt.
